I miss you like mamas bedtime lullabies.I miss you like seesaws, swing sets, jungle gyms, and sand boxes.
I miss you like putting feelings on notebook paper with check yes or check no boxes.
I miss you like Sunday morning cartoons and Easter egg hunts.
I miss you like new lips meet my lips touch say hello and first kiss after school day field trips.
I miss you.
So My heart is on countdown beating away the seconds until I see you again.
Ticking away the tocks on clocks until I see your face,
smell your smell,
touch your skin,
and hold your hand.
Until we are grasping each other so tight that our souls are melting into singular.
Until our hearts are duplicating and our love is spilling over until we are bathing it.
Until I can watch you in your sleep and brush your hair from your face and sing you lullabies.
Until we can use our bedroom like playgrounds.
Until you can check yes for forever.
Until you can cook me eggs and toast in the morning and watch cartoons until the noonday
Until I can kiss you so much that it makes you think of the first time.
Because I miss you...
